Vermont athletics officially on pause

The Vermont athletic department is dealing with an outbreak of COVID cases and has paused all athletics until February 4th. Hopefully this time will allow everyone to stay safe and get healthy. This means the Cats' series against Stony Brook next weekend is postponed as well. The timeline to make up games is getting tight but it looks like there is still some time to make up the games in early February. Vermont has played 10 games so far and has 8 remaining games on the schedule. They need to play at least 3 of those games to be eligible for the NCAA tournament. Meeting that threshold still seems likely as long as they can get the cases under control. Apparently there is some force in the universe that really doesn't want Vermont and Hartford to play each other. Sending positive thoughts to everyone. Stay safe.

  1. Which Vermont teams are on campus? I was under the impression that everyone was isolating.
